What's up with a first look?

I always recommend doing a first look! The majority of my clients do this. A first look is a moment during the day for you guys to see each other alone, before the hectic ensues. It's a chance for you guys to look into each other's eyes without hundreds of other eyeballs on you during the walk down the aisle. It's a genuine opportunity to shake off the pre-wedding jitters with each other. It always seems to bring about more intimate photos. It gives you two more time together on your wedding day! It also allows you guys to join cocktail hour and get at those amazing hors d'oevres you've spent months pondering. It allows your bridal party to do the same, and they will love you for that! After first look, we can capture the bridal party photos and even get started on the family formals, when everyone is looking their best. As soon as you two are pronounced husband and wife, everybody wants to get to the party and not be held hostage by me, the photographer! I want everyone to get to the party too!

Do you travel for weddings?

I love traveling for weddings! I charge an additional fee for travel expenses depending on the location. So let me know, and we can come up with a custom package for ya!

Do you have insurance?

Yes. I carry a $2 million dollar general liability policy for venues.

What's your story and why wedding photography?

I studied photography in college, and it is a life love. My favorite photographer back then was Cindy Sherman. My first wedding was for friends who asked me to bring my camera and take some behind the scenes photos right after I graduated. Even though they had professional photographers, they actually used many of my photos for their wedding album! I was smitten with wedding photography from then on. Weddings offer all types of photography in just one single day- fashion, portraiture, detail, landscape, documentary, etc. I have been shooting weddings for over 10 years! Right now I am rocking the Canon 5d Mark iii and 6d and 7d Mark ii, and my absolute favorite lens is the 50mm 1.2 -- It is MAGIC. I love anything Canon, the Holga, any instant film camera, and my iPhone, and polaroids.
